We’re keeping a close eye on the latest government guidelines as Benidorm cannot wait to welcome holidaymakers back and has taken a series of steps to ensure everyone’s safety. Thanks to the strict measures taken to control the virus and many precautions put in place, Benidorm is now back open for business.
Here’s what you need to know about to protect your health and safety before, during and after your trip:
Prior To Travel
The Spanish government requires all arrivals to Spain from the UK to present on entry a pre-travel declaration form and one of the following: a negative COVID-19 test; or proof of vaccination.
Everyone aged 12 or over arriving in Spain from the UK must present either:
The NHS Covid Pass can be used as evidence of vaccination status if you are travelling from England or Wales.
All travellers should follow the advice of the local authorities on how best to protect themselves and others, including any measures that they bring in to control the virus.
During Your Time In Spain
Across Spain, you need to observe the following rules:
Returning To The UK
If you are fully vaccinated, you won’t need a pre-departure Covid test before arrival into the UK from Spain.
You will still need to take a PCR test on day two of your return.
Passengers who aren’t fully vaccinated will still have to take a pre-departure test, a day two and day eight PCR test – and self-isolate for 10 days – upon their return from a non-red list country, including Spain. Test to Release will remain an option for unvaccinated passengers who wish to shorten their isolation period.
You must fill in the online passenger locator form before your return flight, and self-isolate if travelling to the UK from Benidorm. Some exemptions apply so please check the latest guidance for England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
